This exciting safari starts in Nairobi, passing through the equator to Samburu Game Reserve. You will see Mount Kenya on a clear day as you proceed to Lake Nakuru where you can see the rhino and, if you are lucky, the pink flamingos. Visit Hell’s Gate for and explore the gorge on your way to the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Your safari will continue on to the Serengeti National Park followed by a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire. Come explore Africa with us!
In the morning you will be picked up either from the airport or your hotel. You will depart Nairobi passing through agricultural farmlands and continue towards Nanyuki, crossing the equator with a stopover for an interesting demonstration on how water spins North & South of the equator and then an unforgettable journey into the Samburu Game Reserve. This reserve is a haven of beauty and peace on semi-arid land, rugged landscape and majestic surroundings. You will arrive in time for lunch at the Samburu Sopa Lodge followed by an afternoon game drive where you will have a chance to see zebra, oryx, reticulated giraffe, ostrich, long-necked gerenuk, and dainty dik dik, as well as some of the most beautiful bird life in Kenya. You will also see herds of elephant, plains game and their predators. Later in the evening you will head to Samburu Sopa Lodge where you will settle in enjoy a hot supper and turn in for the night.
With coffee and tea served before dawn, you will depart for an early sunrise morning game drive before returning to the Samburu Sopa lodge for a hot breakfast. You will have some time to relax by the lodge swimming pool or proceed for an optional visit to a Samburu cultural village returning to the lodge to for lunch. Later in the afternoon you will proceed for another game drive before returning to the lodge in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast you will depart from Samburu for Isiolo and continue with your safari in the Mount Kenya region at Serena Mountain Lodge. On a clear day you will have a chance of seeing the scenic views of Mount Kenya. Upon arrival at the lodge you will have time to relax as you wait for lunch. After lunch you can send more time at your leisure or take an optional fishing excursion (if weather permits). In the evening, as you wait for your dinner meal, you can view the animals that come to the floodlit waterhole and saltlick at the Serena Mountain Lodge.
After breakfast you will depart from Mount Kenya and head for Nyahururu where you will have a stop-over at the Thomson’s Falls to explore the scenic beauty of the falls then proceed for lunch at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge. After lunch you will take off for an exciting afternoon game drive with a chance of seeing rhino, waterbuck, giraffe, zebra and other wildlife. Don’t forget to explore the shores of Lake Nakuru where, if you are lucky, you might see flamingos among other birds. You will also have a chance to visit the baboon cliff before returning to Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast you will leave the reserve and head for Hell’s Gate Park where you will have a chance either to cycle or walk among giraffe, zebra, gazelle and a wide variety of birds. You will also take part in a guided walk through the gorge before you proceed to Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure, relaxing at the swimming pool or taking an optional horse ride. Later in the evening you will settle in, enjoy dinner and turn in for your overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort.
After breakfast you will take off on an hour long boat ride with chances of seeing hippo and different species of birds. After the boat ride you will depart for the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch at the Mara Sopa Lodge. After lunch you will take off on an afternoon game drive in search of black manned lion, elephant, leopard cheetah, buffalo and other plains game. Later in the evening you will return to the Mara Sopa Lodge where you will settle in, enjoy a delicious dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast you will spend the entire day exploring the mara plains in search of animals that you might have missed during previous game drives. You will visit to the Mara River where you will have a chance of seeing hippo and crocodile and if you are lucky you will witness the famous wildebeest migration if you are visiting within the months of July through September. There is an optional hot air balloon ride available. In the evening you will return to the Mara Sopa Lodge for your evening meal and overnight stay.
After breakfast, with picnic lunch boxes in hand, you will depart from Maasai Mara and head for Isebania-the Kenya/Tanzania border. Here you will go through all the immigration formalities and transfer to your Tanzanian safari vehicle departing for the Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival you will take off on an afternoon game drive exploring the park throughout the day before heading to the Serengeti Sopa Lodge where you will settle in, enjoy your dinner meal and the turn in for the night.
After breakfast you will spend the day on an exciting game drive exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti with the chance of seeing large herds of wildebeest, zebra, lion, gazelles among other wildlife. An optional hot air balloon ride is also available on this day. Later in the afternoon you will return to the lodge for lunch and then taking off for another game drive before you return to Serengeti Sopa lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast, with picnic lunch boxes in hand, you will depart from Serengeti to take part in another exciting game drive with an optional visit to the Olduvai Gorge, the site of the Leakey family discovery of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back almost two million years. After this stopover, you proceed to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge; arriving in time for dinner. You will then settle in and enjoy your overnight stay.
After breakfast you will descend over 600 meters to the floor of the crater to explore the forested areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants. You will also explore the lake area, where you might see the flamingos and not forgetting the open savannah where lions can be seen hunting. In the afternoon you will ascend the crater and have lunch at Ngorongoro Sopa lodge. Later you will depart for Tarangire where you will arrive in time for dinner and your overnight stay at Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
After breakfast you will have on last chance to explore Tarangire National Park dotted with baobab trees and splendid vistas of rolling savannah and acacia woodland with chances to view lion, giraffe, elephant, black rhino and the diverse species of birds. In the afternoon you will return to Tarangire Sopa Lodge for lunch and then depart for Arusha where you will be dropped off for your journey home. This is where your safari will end.
